This article examines the objective historical causes of social inequality, primarily the role of the division of labor in the social differentiation of society, as well as the concept of alienation of labor. The essence of private property is presented as a specific social relationship inherent in human civilization and as a prerequisite for its economic development within the framework of the productive division of labor. The article examines the main utopian ideas for the social transformation of social relations based on the "destruction" of private property, as well as the objective reasons for the failure of these ideas. An attempt is made to explore ways to humanize social relations in the process of overcoming the alienation of labor as a result the automation of industrial production.
