Abstract

Between 2023 and 2026, artificial intelligence (AI) reached a decisive stage of development. From language models capable of logical reasoning to autonomous agents able to carry out complex tasks, AI is redefining the boundaries of productivity, creativity, and employment. This review provides a broad overview of AI in 2026, covering its core technologies, major market participants, practical impacts, and ethical challenges, while examining the current state of the field and its likely future direction.
