Abstract

All buildings owners tend towards lighting with high energy efficiency, great performance, low carbon emissions, easy maintenance, and at reduced costs. Several parameters determine the choice of lamp: luminous efficiency (in lumens per watt), economic life (in hours), colour rendering index (CRI), colour temperature (in kelvins, K) and the power (in watts, W). This paper analyses the possibilities of lighting optimization trough an overview of the current literature, methodology definition and real case studies.
