Abstract

This experimental study aims to deepen current knowledge on the contribution of stakeholders in building corporate social responsibility, particularly in the forest industry sector in the Congo Basin. To our knowledge, no study has yet done so, at least empirically in our context. We conceptualize the process of stakeholder contribution in the construction of corporate social responsibility from a multiple case study, in this case three logging companies in Cameroon, the first of which obtained a forest certification label, the second is in the process of obtaining the same label and the third which is hostile to any labeling process. From the analysis of the studied cases follow the managerial recommendations of the research that are discussed, the limitations noted and the future directions of the research are suggested.
